Assistance Dog’s Information Hub

Millie, who won the BBC Young Reporter competition, has shared her experience of relying on her assistance dog, Reggie, to support her through autism, chronic pain and anxiety.

Due to the lack of resources and information around assistance dogs, she established ‘Cate UK’, an online information hub to help both, the disabled community and the general population. Check out their resources covering training, misconceptions and more on the Cate UK website.

National Asian Wedding Show Features Disabled Model

Aligned with Disability History Month (16th Nov – 16th Dec), the National Asian Wedding Show made history by featuring their first ever disabled model on the catwalk.

Zubee’s debut challenged stereotypes, and it will hopefully be the first of many more events promoting representation of the disabled community.

Zubee, a South Asian woman with crutches, is walking down the catwalk of the National Asian Wedding Show, wearing some traditional wedding dress.

TikTok x Ticketmaster

TikTok and Ticketmaster are expanding their partnership into more than 20 new markets, including the UK. Users can now buy tickets for their favourite artists through Ticketmaster within the video platform, and artists can now easily promote their upcoming events in the app.

This is not the only update from the video platform to make engaging with artists even easier, check out the new TikTok’s artists accounts below!

Live Nation’s Commitment to Accessibility

Live Nation, the UK’s top music festival operator, has signed a legal agreement with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) following access failures at its Wireless and Download festivals.

They aim to improve accessibility, acknowledging the importance of inclusivity for disabled people.

New PS5 Accessible Controller

We first talked about the exciting Sony launch a few months ago on our LinkedIn page, and it’s finally here! 

The new controller, which has been designed in partnership with accessibility experts, is highly customisable, with different buttons, triggers and sticks that lets players create a set-up that suits their needs.

Snapchat’s New AI Features

Snapchat+ has introduced new generative AI features to its subscribers. Users can now create visuals using text prompts, extending images with an AI outcropping feature, and collaborate on AI images through the “Dreams” feature.

TikTok Introduces Artists’ Accounts

TikTok is enhancing music discovery by introducing artists’ accounts, with a set of features and promotional tools aimed at strengthening the bond between artists and fans.

These include an artist tag to identify the musician, a music tab to have easy access to the artist’s music catalog, a ’new release’ tool to spotlight new songs, and much more!

Campaign Spotlight: Apple

Apple’s latest ad titled “The Lost Voice”, and directed by Taika Waititi, follows their groundbreaking disability-inclusive film from last year. The film follows a girl helping a speech-impaired creature find its voice through enchanting landscapes. But the twist at the end reveals the narrator as a father with speech loss using Apple’s Personal Voice feature.

Definitely worth a watch!
